Bokrijk's open-air museum was officially opened on April 12, 1958. One hundred and forty buildings form the core of the heritage collection. In addition to these buildings, the collection also consists of tools and everyday objects. In total, this includes 30,000 pieces of fragile heritage, testifying to everyday life from the 17th century to 1950.
