In the heart of Scotland’s capital city, St Giles’ Cathedral is a breathtaking building. Founded in 1124, the church became the focal point of the Scottish Reformation of the 16th century. The current church building dates from the 14th century and its distinctive crown tower is one of Edinburgh’s most famous landmarks.

The former cathedral St Giles ’Cathedral, also known as the High Kirk of Edinburgh, is the main church of the Church of Scotland and one of the most important sights of the city of Edinburgh in Scotland. It is located on the main axis of the Old Town, known as the Royal Mile, around 500 meters east of Edinburgh Castle.

Majestic Cathedral on the Royal Mile between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. Great architecture that fits seamlessly into the fabric of the city. The square around the cathedral is also very nice, including the Heart of Midlothian.
