The village church was built in 1512 and dedicated to St. Wigbert. The core of the tower base dates from before 1300. In 1885, the late medieval nave and choir were demolished and replaced by a new building. The church tower of the previous church was incorporated into the neo-Gothic church building. The new church was consecrated in 1889. An inadequate foundation of the choir led to deformations with wide cracks in the masonry. Parts of the church are therefore currently (as of 2018) inaccessible.
