A church was first mentioned in 1341, the current one was built around 1480. It is one of the oldest preserved half-timbered churches in northern Hesse. Built in the late Gothic style, the two-storey building was used as a fruit store at times, but also as a fire station and only has 24 seats. From the 1960s onwards it was used as a church again and was restored in the 1960s and early 1990s (according to other sources in 1998).
