The old landmark of Vienenburg is one of the oldest complexes, the origin of which has not yet been fully clarified. It was built around 1200 by the diocese of Halberstadt in the Harzgau. The restored tower is accessible and offers a beautiful view over Vienenburg. There is a small sculpture park on the castle grounds.
