Since 1999, the volunteers of the Friends of the Zoerselbos have kept the Zoerselbos visitor center open. This is the central meeting place where you can find all information about the area, where all activities take place and where the walks depart from. Admission to the visitor center and the exhibition is always free.

The visitor center is open on all weekends and public holidays and also on Fridays during school holidays. You can come there from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. At the back of the visitor center you will find the old-fashioned farm room. Here you can view photos that illustrate what it looked like many years ago. Furthermore, a number of antique pieces that used to be part of the contents of the forest house are exhibited. If you go outside through the farm room, you are in the middle of a traditional farm flower garden. Here are many species that are typical of post-war farm flower gardens. A number of species are becoming increasingly rare. The green shop does offer self-grown seed.

The former chapel can still be seen in old photos of the Boshuisje. Later it became neglected and around 1970 it was completely destroyed. The Friends of the Zoerselbos have hung a new chapel, which was made by artist Marc De Roover. Pastor Janssens inaugurated it in 1975.
