In the Paul de Smet de Naeyer Park you can relax in the grass or on a bench, in full sun or in the shade of a chestnut tree.

Gravel paths cross the oval-shaped park, which also has a number of statues. The eye-catcher is still the image of the Ros Beiaard. Alois De Beule and Domien Ingels made this statue for the world exhibition in 1913. It weighed so much that it remained on site after the world exhibition.

The Paul de Smet de Naeyerplein is a square in the Miljoenenkwartier in the Sint-Pietersaalst district in the Belgian city of Ghent. It was named after the former Belgian Prime Minister Paul de Smet de Naeyer (1843-1913). It is a square by name, a park by appearance.
The park is hidden between two busy traffic arteries (the Kortrijksesteenweg and the Krijgslaan) and is very popular as a quiet play and walking area with local residents and passers-by, the surrounding schools and youth movements from the district. Until 2019, the non-profit organization Koninklijke Dekenij Sint-Pieters-Buiten also used the park for its annual Dekenijfeest. After a break of 3 years (partly due to the Corona lockdown), there has been a flea market in and around this Park since 2023, during the penultimate weekend of August.
