The Sinninger Mühle is one of three Dutch-style windmills still preserved in the Steinfurt district and is therefore of regional importance. As a listed building, the mill was entered into the monument list of the municipality of Saerbeck in 1996 and was thoroughly restored in 2000/2001. Unfortunately, the drive technology is not fully preserved and the grinding gears no longer exist. However, the wing shaft with the cogwheel is still functional, so the wings occasionally turn in the wind.

The mill is also in the dusky evening light a pretty photo opportunity. Thanks to the light with motion detector, the forecourt of the mill is illuminated in the dark.
