Only a few meters from the center of Behlendorf in the direction of the lake is a cast-iron monument to Karl Friedrich Baath (1756 - 1816), royal councilor and landlord, who acquired the estate in 1802 and built the large, regular octagonal estate based on the English model by the young Karl Friedrich Schinkel let. After his death, the monument was erected by his children.
When the Behlendorfer church was demolished in 1967, the members of the Baath family who were buried in the church crypt received their resting place next to the memorial.
