Drebkau Castle was first mentioned in a document in 1301 as "castrum et opidum Trebetz". In the 14th century, the lords of Ileburg had a new manor house built, and around 1700 the then lord of the manor, Joachim Erdmann von Köckritz, had the building demolished. The current castle was built towards the end of the 17th century.
