Until recently, there was an annual castle festival at Laneburg. The building is also used for a Christmas market, numerous cabaret performances and events by local clubs, companies and private individuals, since the knight's hall, wine and sparkling wine cellar and the entire castle complex can be rented. There is also a wedding room in which many bridal couples from all over Germany are married in a civil ceremony every year. In addition to the monument protection, the castle has the protection status in case of war according to the Hague Convention.
