Hochnaturns Castle towers about one km above Naturno. There was once a Romanesque tower, which was later rebuilt in the medieval style. In the middle of the 13th century, the Oswald Tower was built, named after knight Oswald von Naturns, knight of the Teutonic Order. Since then, the castle of Hochnaturns has been the seat of the Lords of Naturno.
The conversion to the hotel unfortunately only gives an idea of the original outline of the castle. Hochnaturns Castle, a listed building since 1950, is privately owned and cannot be visited.
