"In 1975, the count's forester Anton Greiler from Fischbach and Georg Heimkreiter from Brunn built the oak cross on a hill on the former municipal border of Fischbach and Nittenau. Anton Greiler had the heavily rotten piece of ground replaced with a concrete foundation in the summer of 1988."
