Right at the beginning, the Regental Cycle Path shows its best side. In the Mariental he leads in many places directly along the rain. The untouched nature through which the river flows is particularly impressive on this section.

Cycling

The Regensburg - Nittenau route is equipped with good asphalt throughout. The first 5 km from Regensburg is still a lot on the bike path, especially on sunny days. After a few kilometers, however, you have the path almost to yourself. A small stop in Regenstauf at the Eisdiehle is recommended. There is really good ice cream! I liked the section from Regenstauf to Nittenau the best. There the bike path leads along the river and along the meadows.
