water stoneThe Wasserstein, a natural monument south of the Thälerkopf (503 m) and north-east of Stefling or Hengersbach, can be reached via hiking trail 21.
The Wasserstein is the summit block of an ensemble of granite rocks, which show the typical rounded shapes of a wool sack weathering. On the top of the large rock, which can be climbed with the help of a ladder, there is a natural shallow rock pool that is filled with water and ends in a gully. The granite block shows other forms of erosion such as cart-like depressions (gullies) and scour-like basins. It probably once belonged to the so-called sacrificial stones of a Celtic place of worship. The rest area lets hikers feel the mysticism of the place and the beauty of the mixed forest in a very special way.Source: Bavarian State Office for the Environment / Tourismuszentrum Schwandorf district

A mystical place. As long as there is water in the stone ... everything is fine!
