The promotion of biodiversity and the protection of habitats for insects and rare plants - these are hot topics. And since the old old men in Müden are no longer the youngest, but neither from yesterday nor rusty, they have tackled this topic. In the truest sense of the word: 1,500 square meters of fallow land cleared them of blackberries, sloes and other bushes. They exposed decades-old dry stone walls and slate stairs, created islands of plants and connected two popular hiking trails. The result of all efforts for the nature conservation project “Rock terrace viticulture in earlier times”: a small garden of Eden, in which - thanks to several benches - not only the descendants of Adam and Eve feel comfortable, but also a number of animals.
