Since the Elbe makes an arc here, a beautiful, relatively large sandy beach has formed here. The Elbe beach is right next to the Elbe Cycle Path, which runs along the Elbe dyke. A very nice place for a break during a bike ride or hike on the Elberadweg. At the top of the dike there is a small shelter with a table and two benches. Opposite, on the Lower Saxony side of the Elbe, lies the Gorleben bank of the Elbe.
It's also a wonderful place to take photos, especially with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
