Old Staffelberg

From the small Staffelberg in the direction of Vierzehnheiligen, there is a short climb to be mastered. Only for experienced hikers.

For little adventurers, the Alte Staffelberg on the northeastern side of a light Kraxelei ready. If you prefer to take it easy you will reach a meadow up to the back of the mountain with information board and resting bench.

Definitely worth the climb, because you should not miss the view! You will also meet the footsteps of the Celts, who once built a fortification on the northern plateau.

The hike across the plateau to the Staffelberg plateau is relatively boring. Better walkers can take a route over the "Old Staffelberg" and the "Spitzberg".
In the short climb to the north side of the AS (recommendation) you have to scramble a bit. The view up is wonderful and far from Kloster Banz in the west to Kordigast in the east!
Wall and ditch remains on the AS are no longer so clearly visible.
Over the AS there is a path in the whole length. The southern tip is not worth it because it is completely overgrown. However, you can go down from there opposite the map and find the normal trail.
