    The palace is located at the end of the village in the southwest on the Kożuchów-Żagań road, near the Jabłonowo road. The courtyard is moved north from the palace. From the east it is surrounded by a landscape park.

    The Jelenin estate has belonged to the von Knobelsdorff family since the Middle Ages, and perhaps there was a knight's seat there even then. In 1620 the property passed into the hands of the von Nechern family for forty years and then became part of the Augustinian monastery in Żagań. In 1787 Jelenin was bought by General von Franckenberg, who was most likely the initiator of the palace construction. He built it between 1787 and 1797. The Hirschfeldau Castle is in ruins.
