In April 1945 it was destroyed shortly before the end of the war, but was rebuilt by 1947 thanks to a lot of community involvement. This made it the first church in Württemberg to be rebuilt.

Hiking
The choir tower of the church dates back to the early Gothic period (approx. 12th century), while the church was probably extensively renovated at the beginning of the 15th century. The current nave was added around 1500 and extended to the north in 1620.
