The castle is not in the best condition, but it is definitely one of the most beautiful views in the area. If you drive up the castle cave from Neipperg, you can also feel proud to have made a really steep climb.

There are 3 ways to go up to the castle. Coming from the south (Dürrenzimmern) it goes steeply up on a reasonably paved path right in front of the place. The 2nd driveway is in the center of the village (steep and unpaved). If you want it a little easier, you can drive through the village in the direction of Schwaigern. Before the road to Nordheim turns right, an unpaved, moderate ascent begins at an acute angle to the right (no problem for mountain bikes).
