The climb is steep but constant, which allows you to settle into your own rhythm... except for the last bend at the top where the road kicks up and I quickly found myself out of the saddle and pushing hard on the pedals.

It's relatively short, though, and as you turn around the corner the trees that line the climb give way to the views over flatter terrain.

Starts out nice and gentle but just keeps getting steeper. Tops out at around 12%, but not for too long, thankfully.
