The observation tower Häftli is located in the nature reserve Häftli at the old Aare in the municipality Büren.
The wooden tower is 10.5 meters high. 36 steps lead to the viewing platform at a height of 7.5 meters.
From the platform there is a view of the birdlife of the Alte Aare.

With the construction of the Nidau-Büren Canal, the large Aare loop was cut off and it has become still water. It is only connected to the river at the lower, eastern end. Since 1928, the upper part of this oxbow lake with the alluvial forests has been placed under nature protection. An excellent place for bird watching too.
