Tips

  • The 12.50 meter high tower with its orange edges and window frames can be seen from afar and is the landmark of Filzen. The tower dates from the 11th century and is thus one of the oldest structures in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district. In the church you can admire an ornate high altar. The community of nuns was dissolved in 1810 under the occupation of Napoleon.
