Koniks are a pony breed from Central and Eastern Europe. These calm and frugal animals are very friendly to people. Here on the pastures on the southern shore of the Mondsee, they serve as landscapers to prevent the new growth of oleiferous willows and thus an increasing encroachment of the landscape.
