Two road stones from the 19th century set up on both sides of Kastanienallee between Hermsdorf and Weixdorf south of Hermsdorf Castle, each with a square floor plan, recessed writing surfaces in the upper third of the side surfaces and a rounded end with worked cross ridges, the writing surfaces indicate directions in black Fraktur "Hermsdorf" and to the "Schloß" or to "Lausa-Weixdorf" and to the "Park". Both path stones are evidence of the traffic-technical development of the rural area as well as parts of the Hermsdorfer Allee, which are designed in an analogous way and placed in mirror image on the original development axis of the castle, of local and traffic-historical importance.

Historical signposts are always an eye-catcher and testimonies of how things can be designed that last a long time.

The stone witnesses survive longer than the wooden ones of today.
