There are three ways to climb the castle. Coming from the south (Dürrenzimmern), the path climbs steeply just outside the village on a fairly well-paved path. The second path is in the center of the village (steep and unpaved). Those who prefer an easier route can drive through the village of Neipperg towards Schwaigern. Before the road to Nordheim branches off to the right, a moderate, unpaved climb (private road) begins at a sharp angle to the right, which is easy to cycle.
