The Traualpsee lies geographically above the Vilsalpsee. It can be reached in two hours from Vilsalpsee. Dirt roads with large stones complicate the climb.
It is better to reach the lake when you walk down from the Landsberger Hütte, which takes about 1 hour. And on the further hike you also reach the Vilsalpsee.
The ascent to Traualpsee is relatively easy, assuming a certain surefootedness. On the way to the Landsberger hut, a steep step partly secured with wire ropes has to be overcome, for which one should be free from giddiness and sure-footed.
The bathing in the lake is unfortunately forbidden!
The Alpe is located in the nature reserve Vilsalpsee. From the Vilsalpsee it is about 1 1/2 hours to the hut. From there you can hike on to the Landsberger Hütte, Gappenfeldalpe, Strindenalpe, Usseralpe and the Vogelhornbahn mountain station.
The Alpe is open from the beginning of July to the end of September.regenacker.com/traualpe.html
