The Traualpsee lies geographically above the Vilsalpsee. It can be reached in two hours from Vilsalpsee. Dirt roads with large stones complicate the climb.

It is better to reach the lake when you walk down from the Landsberger Hütte, which takes about 1 hour. And on the further hike you also reach the Vilsalpsee.

The Alpe is located in the nature reserve Vilsalpsee. From the Vilsalpsee it is about 1 1/2 hours to the hut. From there you can hike on to the Landsberger Hütte, Gappenfeldalpe, Strindenalpe, Usseralpe and the Vogelhornbahn mountain station.

Reasonably easy climb. Good to stay on the way to the Landsberger Hütte or as a family destination.
