This section of the Eggeweg is a wide trail on the Egge ridge above the Wertheim estate. The bark beetle has struck here in a big way and the felled trees now mean that in some places you can once again enjoy a beautiful view of the valley below and the estate. It is expected that the felling will continue for a few more years. This is nice for the view, but bad for the path, which is repeatedly damaged by the forestry work.
