In order to make the view and history of Ehrenberg tangible for everyone, it was decided to build an inclined elevator in Ehrenberg. With the construction of the inclined elevator, the approx. 110 m height difference between the visitor center and the stop at the Hornwerk will be overcome in only approx. 2.5 minutes. From the Berg / Hornwerk stop, a flat, paved path leads directly to the exhibition in the Hornwerk and to the portal of the spectacular suspension bridge. This means that elderly people and people with reduced mobility can also visit these two attractions in the Ehrenberg Castle World. The footpath to the Ehrenberg ruins with a unique view of the Reutten valley basin can also be shortened considerably by the inclined elevator.
