"The Malakow tower over Shaft I dates back to the early days of the colliery, which began production in 1873. Escape stairs were located in the" Castle Turrets "in the event of a fire.The fire hazard was associated with open light at the wooden conveyor (inside the Malakow Tower) , Coal dust and lubricants should not be underestimated.
In the twenties, a steel scaffold was installed that stood out over the Malakow Tower, but no longer exists. "
