David's tomb is located on Mount Zion outside the walls of the Old City in Jerusalem. Although the site's authenticity has long been questioned, it is still a sacred site for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. David is an Old Testament hero, king of the Israelites, who is credited with fighting Goliath. He composed many of the Psalms and was the father of King Solomon.
