A small, slightly busy side road leads through the partly gorge-like valley of the Wilder Gutach. The route starts at the first hairpin bend of the highway to Furtwangen. First, it goes down a few meters, then the road runs gently rising in the valley floor to the Hexenlochmühle. At Hexenloch you can either turn right towards St.Märgen or left towards Furtwangen. Both alternatives are recommended, here is the alternative up to St. Märgen described. The increase then increases significantly, but not steeper than 10%.
In order to enjoy the beautiful landscape properly, it is advisable to drive uphill, downhill you should look to the road, as it is very narrow and winding.

The Wilde Gutach is a beautiful valley. The driveway is more beautiful than the descent, because here you can enjoy the beautiful nature (Black Forest PUR) especially.

Very nice to cycle. When I was there at the weekend, there was also little traffic
