On the summit of Monte Gelbison at 1705 m asl is the sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte Sacro, a destination for pilgrimages and devotions. Summit Monte Gelbison, cheesy Italian with stalls selling the most impossible plastic stuff, but fantastic views all around, a ristorante for those who want. Overall, a very nice tour almost exclusively in the cool shade, well suited for hot days. Very suitable for cyclists, because a road leads up too. We met some "biciclettas" at the summit.
