In the meantime, the path has been significantly improved: on a water-bound surface made of very fine gravel, you can easily cycle along the Altenau to the Kuckucksmühle (near Bansleben) - I would even go so far as to say: even with a racing bike.

This path is anything but a bike path, loose, pointed, roughly heaped gravel. A tire killer way. Anyone who takes responsibility for this will certainly not ride a bicycle.
