Very nice hut! An overnight stay with half board is a treat here! Both dinner and breakfast were a surprise.

The perfect hut as a starting point for via ferrata tours. Very good kitchen, staff and the landlord of course great.

The Zsigmondy-Comici Refuge is an alpine refuge located at an altitude of 2,224 meters in the Sesto Dolomites. It rises on the Piani di Rio di Sopra, at the head of the Val Fiscalina, at the foot of the north face of the Croda dei Toni (also known as Cima Dodici). The refuge takes its name from the mountaineers Emil Zsigmondy and Emilio Comici. It was built by the Austrian Alpenverein in 1886, but was destroyed in the First World War. It was then rebuilt by the CAI section of Padua in 1929, and subsequently restored in 1984. At the time of fascism, the refuge took the name of Rifugio Benito Mussolini.

Owned by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, it is open from mid-June to the end of September. It offers 80 beds, of which 44 on couchettes. The famous Strada degli Alpini starts here, one of the most famous and classic equipped paths in the Alps.
