Hiking Highlight
The Herald Tower can be found on the wooded slope west of Eschenbach. It lies there less like a tower and more like an apparently medieval castle ruin. It was built by Carl Wenglein, producer of gramophone needles called "Herold" from Nuremberg in the first half of the 20th century. The medieval-looking building owes its name to a special needle. The tower is the starting point for hikes on the Carl-Wenglein-Weg or the Salamanderweg.

Tower at the beginning of Wengleinpark. Medieval feeling! Appearances are deceiving, because the tower is not that old!

"Rapunzel, let your hair down" 👸 - unfortunately you cannot climb the tower, but still worth seeing on the way to Wenglein Park.
