On the wooded slope west of Eschenbach you will find the Herald Tower. It lies there less like a tower and more like what appears to be a medieval castle ruin. It was built by Carl Wenglein, a producer of gramophone needles called "Herold" from Nuremberg, in the first half of the 20th century. The medieval-looking building owes its name to a special needle. The tower is the starting point for hikes on the Carl-Wenglein-Weg or the Salamanderweg.

Very nice nature conservation center with several information boards. The beautiful Herold Tower can be found in the entrance area. The tower, together with a "castle wall", forms an attractive ensemble.

Tower at the beginning of Wengleinpark. Medieval feeling! Appearances are deceiving, because the tower is not that old!

"Rapunzel, let your hair down" 👸 - unfortunately you cannot climb the tower, but still worth seeing on the way to Wenglein Park.

Like all the other buildings in the park, the tower is in poor condition and is itself locked.

Beautiful tower that looks like something out of a fairy tale.
