Eckernförde Harbor

For me, the port district of Eckernförde has a lot of flair and atmosphere. I feel particularly at home in the pedestrian zone around the wooden bridge and enjoy a fish sandwich and a beer.

Since I am currently giving tips for mountain bike highlights and this bridge is being suggested to me: Yes, that's right: You are not allowed to drive a beautiful bridge on it. And even if it were allowed this would not be a major challenge. But it is a nice photo object :-)

The port of Eckernförde stretches from the beach to the two warehouses. From the beach there are mostly sailing boats to sailing ships. The fishing port comes first in the direction of the warehouse. The cutters and fishing boats dock here and you can buy fresh fish or shrimp directly from the ship from some cutters. This is followed by the marina with motor boats and sailing boats.
This section is divided by the wooden/bascule bridge. which is still in operation. However, biking is prohibited on it.
