The Ruhr Regional Association has turned the old former moor forest zone, which used to be largely left to its own devices because it did not contain any timber, into a beautiful local recreation area with paths for hiking, walking or cycling. If the adventure playground were still there, it would certainly be a highlight, but it was dismantled 20 years ago.
