Surely one of the finest places to camp in the Lakes, if not the UK. This is an excellent campsite, run in a low-key but effective manner by the National Trust. The location is outstanding and the facilities are clean and well maintained. Hot water, showers, a small shop and lots of space give it a homely feel without feeling over-managed. A great starting point for routes over Blea Tarn to Wrynose Pass and Hardknott or back towards Ambleside or Grasmere and beyond. nationaltrust.org.uk/holidays/great-langdale-campsite-lake-district
