The whole area around the Monticolo lakes is very well developed with paths, the boardwalk through the reed area at the southern end of the large lake is highly recommended.
A large number of visitors can be expected on nice-weather weekend days, but those who prefer it quieter should plan to visit the lakes in the early morning during the week.
