"The cornerstone of the church was laid in April 1896, and the finished building was blessed in November 1897. In 1898 the relics of the old church were transferred to the new one. The church was painted in 1904-1906 by the Cologne church painter Robert Rosenthal. The depictions on the walls above the side altars are iconographically interesting: the finding and raising of the cross are depicted in an architectural frame a red and gold contrasting cornice.An altar shrine with two wings and in the middle the tabernacle with a depiction of the Annunciation of Mary on the doors.The interior view of the parish church of St. Margareta, a typical neo-Gothic country church, is well worth seeing, as it is still in very good condition the state it is in after the completion of the furnishing order 1907, the paintings and architecture are beautifully preserved."
