Capanna Bovarina

The Capanna Bovarina (UTOE Bellinzona) is a cozy little hut in the grounds of Alpe Bovarina, with a view of the Rheinwaldhorn and the mighty dam of the Lago di Luzzone over Campo Blenio.
Hiking tours: crossing the Sasso Lanzone to the Capanna Scaletta; over the Passo di Gana Negra to the Lukmanier Pass or into the Val di Piora.

The Capanna Bovarina, a modern and functional timber structure, is located in the upper Valle di Blenio not far from the border with Graubünden. It is located on a natural terrace just above a magnificent larch forest and in the middle of a geologically extremely interesting landscape. The area is suitable for hiking and trekking as well as for ski and snowshoe tours - and as a connection between the Greina and the Lukmanier / Ritom region.
