The Scaletta Hut (2,205 meters) is located at the western entrance to the Greina plain above Campo Blenio. Reachable in just under an hour from the terminus of the hiking bus, Pian Geirètt (T2). A little above the hut is the Brenno della Greina gorge with the natural stone arch Arco della Greina (access only for experienced, T4).

Hiking

there is a small steep path that goes straight up the slope towards the hut. It is not marked on the Komoot card, nor indicated by the yellow signs, but it appears on the Swiss card (suissemobile.ch). Use only if you have a sure footing, but it allows you to be alone on the way to the hut, even when leaving the full bus at Pian Geirett

Hiking

Nice cabin with a terrace. The wine selection is special for a hut: in addition to a good house wine (red and white), there are probably at least 10 regional wines on offer. Good food, nice service.
