Brilliant views of the Marmolada on one side, the Sella and the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto in the other direction, this place is sometimes the best place for the best overview of all. If there is no snow, you can take the Bindelweg from here or follow the ski slope.

This place is called Portavescovo and offers incredible views of the Marmolada (glacier). Then it goes (often in the context of the Sella Ronda) on great trails into the valley. But beware: the ski slope is not to be underestimated. Unfortunately it comes here because of too high speed again and again to violent accidents !!!

Even in summer there is a wonderful panoramic view of the Marmolada glacier

And yes: it unfortunately melts in the time we live in ... we do not really have to wonder as the cause of climate change and pollution ... but the view remains: huge and impressive!

The pass at Porta Vescovo offers the best view to the north of the pyramid-shaped Piz Poè, the highest peak of the Sella Group. To the south, the Marmolada (Italian Marmolada) shines in all its splendor. Especially if you have conquered the steep ramp from the north with the MTB (left is the bishop's miter - Mitra Vescovo - easy to see).
The Porta Vescovo is a good starting point on the Bindelweg to the Pordoi yoke. On the way you have a magnificent view of the Fedaiasee and the Great Vernell.
I split my panorama on Porta Vescovo in two parts:
North - Piz Poè and South - Marmolada

The gondola only goes up every half hour in summer; if necessary you should plan this for the gondola supported Sellaronda tour, otherwise you will not get the last gondola at 17:30 ...;)

Heavy sliding distance (about 500m for me). But for the view it was worthwhile, above all further over Bindelweg was a highlight.

Attention: This is a great section that is reserved for normal hikers. Do not drive at rush hours. Ansonstren scenic just awesome. The view of the Marmolada glacier and Fedaiasee. Later the view into Val di Fassa

One way you have to be safe, but start very early are many hikers on the way. If you can only recommend, is also in the Sella Ronda here.
