The valley of the town is narrow and stony, so that the brook comes along like a small mountain brook. A very beautiful, but sometimes quite rustic, hiking trail runs along its banks and requires sturdy shoes. A hike along the site is definitely worthwhile, especially immediately after winter, when the river has a correspondingly large amount of water.
