The beautiful forest area of the Wüstemarker Forest belonged to the nearby town of Gersdorf until the 15th century. You will find a wide variety of trees here, from pine and beech to birch and oak. In the so-called stone forest you will find relics of the last ice age: some boulders that made their way from Scandinavia to here.
In late summer and autumn you can go mushroom hunting here and look out for boletus and birch mushrooms.
