Commissioned in 1293 as the monastery mill of the former Cistercian monastery of Bersenbrück, the Hasemühle has experienced a long and truly interesting development up to the cessation of grinding operations in 1990 and beyond. When the monastery was dissolved in 1786, the mill was handed over to private hands.
