The official bathing area on the Great Lake is located here. Unfortunately right on the A7, but not far from the parking lot and with a large lawn. Bathing is in principle at your own risk, but there are also supervision by the DLRG in between. Bathing is mostly prohibited on the rest of the shore area of the lake, as the embankment is not stable due to the gravelly subsoil and, in the worst case, there is apparently the risk of being buried under water.

A large sunbathing lawn is available for bathers at the Kiessee. The existing bathing zone has the character of an open bathing area, without appropriate supervision services. This means that there is no bathing infrastructure (toilets, changing rooms, bathing jetty, bathing island, benches, etc.). The visitor bathes at his own risk. The open bathing area can be used free of charge at any time during the day.
At times there is supervision by the DLRG.
