No trekking poles are required for the tour, and some are even explicitly forbidden. There are only a few shady sections, so take good care of the sun. We did the tour shortly after the low tide started. Then you have more water on the way between the rocks and in the bays. We liked this better than on the way back, as the sea had already made very scarce.
In Perros-Guirec and a few other places along the Sentier there is plenty of parking.
